Let the choicest blessings of God and the masters be upon all of you. I take this opportunity to pray for you and send my best wishes on the occasion of Thanksgiving Day, which we are celebrating on November 23 this year. Life is a flower that blossoms over the course of time. It is colored with beauty when we cultivate thanksgiving in our daily lives.
Although monasteries are an old system in all religions, an ashram is a quite new concept in the West. The practice of living in an ashram appeared in the West with Swami Vivekananda, then later with our beloved master Paramahamsa Yoganandaji, and today ashrams contain people of many spiritual backgrounds.
