From the moment Swami Gurupriyananda, Swami Sarvatmananda and the initiates chanted three OMs to open the Brisbane Kriya Yoga Initiation Program on 22-23 July 2017, it was destined to be a special event.

The Majestic Park Scouts Hall in Brisbane was transformed into a homely space for fourteen dedicated seekers to be initiated into Kriya Yoga. A delicious Indian lunch of rice, dahl, vegetables, salad and sweets was prepared at the hall on both days, with existing Kriyavans and new Kriyavans working together.

Many new initiates stocked up on words of wisdom from the bookstore. They also enjoyed chatting to existing Kriyavans and expressed their keen interest in attending weekly group meditations and monthly satsangs in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
