The Perth Kriya Yoga initiation weekend held on 13-15 October 2017 was a great success. Held at the Beacon Yoga Centre, a stone’s throw from Perth's spiritual centre Fremantle, the Ashram and meditation hall are surrounded by peaceful gardens of vegetables and fruit trees. The property sits high upon a limestone hill and has become an icon since its initial construction a century ago. This has been our second year at this venue and we feel as though we have finally found our Kriya Yoga Initiation home here.

 

A motivated and enthusiastic group made up this year’s initiates, with a number of people travelling from Busselton and as far as Denmark, a five hour drive south of Perth, to attend the program. Our follow-up Tuesday night weekly meditation reflected the group’s enthusiasm for their new found practice — a good turnout, plenty of questions and talk of re-establishing the north of the river weekly group meditation to reinforce the Kriya Yoga technique made up a full evening’s proceedings.
